love this clip, and dean,,,, he plays the straight guy for sure, u can tell he has no idea what foster is gonna say next….. dean only rehearsed for an hour b4 or during the week of his show, that aired weekly , u can tell he’s truly sincere, and awed
lOL at the comment….He made Dean look sober. hehe…… i have to look up more of these oldschool comics. i have seen dean roasting someone. hehe. they are good
LMFAO!!! I was quite young when this aired on TV,but I remember it well.Still one of the funniest sketches EVER,up there with Richard Pryor’s hosting of SNL,the Tim Conway/Harvey Korman “Dentist” routine on Carol Burnett & other classics.
My best friend Dee made me the Dean Martin Roast videos and I’ll tell you one thing, Foster Brooks is the funniest SOB on earth!
Laugh my ever-loving ass off!!!

That song is Jimmy Buffett’s “God Don’t Own A Car”.
It is off of one of his first two albums that came out before “A White Sport Coat & A Pink Crustaceon”.
I would have to do some research to be certain, but I think it was off of “High Cumberland Jubilee”.

I’m going to imitate Foster Brooks in a local Burlesque show in late January. This provides for great ideas.
